the dress was on sale, the fabric feels similar to a swimsuit, but can make it work. It isn't a "WRAP" dress, it's a pull over dress with a tie belt so you can adjust the waist somewhat. It's basic black long dress and can be dressed up with boots and a blazer, and jewelry or worn more casual with flats etc. I also like the tote bag it came with, thank you
