This dress was ordered for my daughter’s Christmas performance where she needed something “conservative and angelic”. It will work but not without some effort. The dress pictured on the site does not appear to be the same quality as the one we received. I ordered a 4x and 5x because I wasn’t sure which would fit. My daughter is currently in a 4x (24) by Torrid sizing. The 5x fit better in the shoulders and bust but the 4 did fit because the fabric is stretchy. I plan to make a few alterations. I don’t like the placement of the belt. It’s not at the waist seam, which sits high already. The sleeves are not tapered enough so they don’t fit like the picture. I can fix both of those things. I’m also converting the 4x into a slip because this dress absolutely cannot be worn without a slip. You can see in the pics how visible the tag is as well as the pocket and my hand when looking toward light. The neckline is very reminiscent of a Halloween costume as is the fabric. However, I’m technically using it as a costume for a performance, and the price was good so I’m happy. It’s not easy finding dresses for my daughter, especially with a specific color/style requirement. I hope these details help others.
